A Boost for the Seminoles
Troy Silberzahn, a three‑star tight end and rising junior in the 2028 class, announced his commitment to Florida State University, choosing the Seminoles over nearly two dozen other suitors that included the University of Florida, the University of Miami and Texas A&M.
Silberzahn transferred to Eau Gallie High School in Florida to continue his prep career, where during his sophomore season at Cocoa High he recorded 14 receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown, added 16 rushes for 74 yards and two scores, and even threw three touchdown passes.
The pledge marks the second verbal commitment for FSU in the 2028 cycle, joining three‑star defensive back Chayse Brown, and it has propelled the Seminoles’ recruiting class from outside the top 100 to No. 7 nationally according to the 247Sports Composite Ratings.
Ranked as the No. 23 tight end prospect in Florida, Silberzahn’s decision underscores the program’s ability to attract top talent early, reinforcing the coaching staff’s momentum as the class takes shape.
