The Tennessee high school baseball state tournament's Division II quarterfinals will open on May 13, kicking off a series of matchups that will determine which teams move on to the semifinals in Murfreesboro beginning May 19.
The competition is split into two brackets, DII‑A and DII‑AA, with each bracket playing a three‑game series. The winners of those series will advance to the next round of play.
Quarterfinal Matchups
In the DII‑A bracket, Columbia Academy will face St. George's, while ECS takes on Lakeway Christian and Silverdale meets Franklin Grace. The Webb School is paired with Boyd Buchanan in another DII‑A contest.
The DII‑AA bracket features MBA versus CPA, Briarcrest against Baylor, Lipscomb Academy taking on Christian Brothers, and McCallie facing Brentwood Academy.
Semifinals on the Horizon
All of the series will be played across the state, but the eventual semifinal round will be held in Murfreesboro, where the remaining teams will compete for championship berths. The semifinal round is scheduled to begin on May 19, bringing together the eight surviving programs from the quarterfinal round.
