Tulane University announced this week that Chris Wojick will join the Green Wave baseball staff as both pitching coach and recruiting coordinator, a move that signals the program’s intent to sharpen its competitive edge.
A strategic hire for a program on the rise
Wojick arrives after a distinguished tenure at Yale, where he guided the Bulldogs’ pitching staff to the Ivy League’s lowest earned run average for two straight seasons, a testament to his ability to develop arms under pressure.
His success continued at Eastern Connecticut State University, where his 2022 staff topped NCAA Division III in ERA, showcasing a knack for turning raw talent into polished performers.
The Green Wave also welcomed right‑handed pitcher Aidan Grab to the roster, a prospect who brings a high‑velocity fastball and a track record of strikeouts that caught the attention of Tulane’s scouting department.
In addition, four recent high school graduates signed letters of intent in November, adding depth and youthful energy to a squad that is looking to blend experience with fresh legs.
Coach Wojick’s dual role is expected to tighten the team’s on‑field strategy while accelerating the recruitment pipeline, a combination that could lift Tulane’s profile in the highly competitive collegiate baseball landscape.
