Two Young Flag Football Stars Set for National Showcase

Valentino Flores and Prince Berry, members of the Coach Sarna League and NorCal Elite, will compete in a premier 5‑on‑5 event this June.

Two seventh‑grade athletes from Solano County have been selected to compete in the inaugural USA Football Stars & States showcase, a premier 5‑on‑5 flag football tournament that forms part of USA Football’s Summer Series.

A Milestone for NorCal Elite

Valentino Flores, a quarterback nicknamed “Turbo” for his speed and agility, and Prince Berry, a wide receiver and safety, will join a California 14U team that includes six other standout players from across the country.

The event will take place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Southern California from June 19‑21, giving the participants a chance to train under top coaches and perform in front of scouts from the U.S. National Team.

Both athletes are members of the Coach Sarna League, the local flag‑football program that has become a talent incubator in the region, and they also compete for NorCal Elite, the league’s competitive travel club.

Ryan Sarna, CEO and founder of the Coach Sarna League, praised the duo’s sportsmanship and performance, saying their selection marks the beginning of what he believes will be a long line of achievements.

Flores and Berry will receive guidance from elite coaches, get feedback from national scouts, and experience a competitive environment that organizers say can accelerate their development.

The showcase will feature athletes from California, Texas, Florida and the New York area, underscoring the growing reach of youth flag football across the United States.
