Ty Gibbs delivered a masterclass in precision, navigating the winding layout of Sonoma Raceway in 74.829 seconds to claim the pole position for the Toyota/Save Mart 350. The performance marks his first pole on a road course this season and only the third of his career, underscoring his rapid development behind the wheel.
Carson Hocevar will share the front row after finishing just 0.025 seconds behind Gibbs, while Kyle Larson, a two‑time Sonoma winner and the series’ reigning champion, will start third. Michael McDowell, teammate of Hocevar at Spire Motorsports, secured fourth, followed by Ross Chastain in fifth.
Further down the grid, Shane van Gisbergen, the defending race and pole winner, will line up sixth. The top ten also includes Chase Briscoe and AJ Allmendinger in seventh and eighth, with veteran Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano rounding out the top ten.
Series leader Tyler Reddick will start 11th, while Bubba Wallace’s qualifying effort ended abruptly after a crash within the first three minutes of Group 2. Wallace will begin the race in a backup car, a setback that could influence his strategy early in the event.
