Ty Heydon, a senior from Coon Rapids‑Bayard, earned the distinction after a performance that combined power and speed in a way that caught the attention of coaches across the state.
At the plate he compiled 13 hits, among them three doubles, two triples and two home runs, while driving in 19 runs and crossing the plate 12 times. His aggressive base‑running added six stolen bases to a stat line that also reflects his dual‑role versatility as a right‑handed pitcher and catcher.
