Ty Pelton-Byce Returns to Boise
The Idaho Steelheads announced this week that forward Ty Pelton-Byce has agreed to a contract that will keep him in Boise through the 2026‑27 campaign, marking the sixth professional chapter of his career and the fifth consecutive season with the club.
At 29 years old, Pelton-Byce brings a blend of experience and offensive spark that has made him a mainstay in the Steelheads lineup, having compiled 208 points in 218 games and positioned himself fifth on the franchise’s all‑time scoring list.
His impact is not limited to the regular season; in 35 playoff appearances he has added 39 points, underscoring his ability to elevate his game when the stakes are highest.
The forward’s journey to Idaho began after stints with the Newfoundland Growlers and a handful of American Hockey League games, and it also includes a collegiate pedigree at both Harvard University and the University of Wisconsin, where he was part of a 2016 ECAC championship team and earned a B1G Honorable Mention in his senior year.
