The Points Battle at EchoPark
Tyler Reddick entered the weekend with a strong start to the season, having won five of the first nine NASCAR Cup Series races, a tally that includes a summer victory at EchoPark Speedway.
However, a recent slip has left him 44 points behind series leader Denny Hamlin, prompting the driver to stress his confidence in the track’s summer conditions and his ability to rebound.
Kyle Larson, a six‑time winner in the series, is looking to snap a 43‑race winless streak that began after his last victory at Kansas in May 2025.
Currently sixth in the points standings, Larson’s campaign at the Atlanta venue is being watched closely as he aims for his first Cup win of the year.
Chase Elliott, Larson’s teammate, broke his own winless streak last summer by capturing the EchoPark race, a performance that added to the track’s recent drama.
The upcoming In‑Season Challenge will also feature a showdown between Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell, as well as a clash between Elliott and Chase Briscoe.
Bell is set to compete with a cast on his broken wrist, hoping the race will be the final one he must run with the injury.
Meanwhile, teammate Ryan Preece added a light‑hearted twist by erecting billboards that showcase Chris Buescher in a series of humorous outfits, promoting the upcoming event.
