A Strategic Move for the French Club
Paris Basketball has secured the services of Tyson Etienne, a 26‑year‑old point guard who spent the previous season on a two‑way contract with the Brooklyn Nets. The French powerhouse, known for its competitive presence in both the domestic LNB and the EuroLeague, sees in Etienne a blend of playmaking and scoring that could bolster its backcourt.
Etienne’s professional journey began after going undrafted out of Wichita State in 2022, leading to a stint with the College Park Skyhawks in the G League. He then broke out with the Long Island Nets in the 2024‑25 campaign, posting 17.1 points and 3.5 assists per game, a performance that earned him a promotion to a full two‑way deal in March 2025.
During the 2025‑26 NBA season he logged 24 appearances for the Nets, averaging 7.9 points and 1.7 assists, while also appearing in 32 games for the Long Island affiliate. His consistent production on the developmental circuit and limited but impactful NBA minutes made him an attractive target for clubs seeking a dynamic guard.
The new contract marks Etienne’s first overseas experience. He will now test himself in France’s top flight and the EuroLeague, a move that promises to add an international dimension to his résumé and provide a fresh competitive environment.
