The 6‑foot‑3, 205‑pound athlete from Springfield, Virginia, selected the Hokies over a slate of finalists that included Penn State, Syracuse, Clemson, Wake Forest and the University of Virginia.
Washington, who starred at The St. James, brings a rare blend of size and versatility, having logged snaps at wide receiver, edge rusher and off‑ball linebacker during his high school career.
