Head Coach David Jones blends collegiate, professional and military talent as the squad prepares for a June tournament in Thailand

Augusta Training Camp Sets Stage for Thailand Challenge

The U.S. Senior Men’s Over-40 National Team is putting the final touches on its official training camp in Augusta, Georgia, as it readies for the upcoming Seniors World Cup in Thailand.

The camp featured a youth soccer clinic that brought together more than 60 local children, offering them a chance to learn from players with collegiate, professional and military backgrounds.

Friendly scrimmages against the Augusta UPSL side and the Fort Gordon base team gave the Over‑40 roster valuable game‑time experience before departure.

Head Coach David Jones, a former head coach of the American Samoa National Team, oversees a squad that mixes former college stars, former pros and current service members.

The World Cup will be held from June 1 to June 6 in Thailand, where the United States will face international competition in the over‑40 category.

Beyond this tournament, the program continues to travel nationwide for matches, using these events to identify and recruit new talent for future competitions.
