The American Conference has unveiled the full slate of games for the 2026‑27 men’s basketball season, confirming that the University of Alabama at Birmingham will face a balanced mix of home and away matchups.
UAB’s home calendar includes contests against North Texas, Tulane and UTSA, giving the Blazers a chance to showcase their talent in front of their own fans.
On the road, the team will travel to face Wichita State, South Florida and Rice, a stretch that aligns with a road record that saw the Blazers go 10‑2 last season and remain unbeaten in conference play.
Championship ambitions take shape
Head coach Andy Kennedy, now in his seventh year at the helm, has guided the program to 145 victories, placing the team among the nation’s top 16 in win total, and has already presided over two conference tournament titles.
The season will culminate with the American Conference championship game scheduled for March 2027 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, a venue that promises a vibrant atmosphere for the final showdown.
Adding to the excitement, sophomore guard Salim London is set to return, having averaged 4.8 points per game last year while logging nearly 20 minutes per contest.
