Key matchups to watch
UAB women's soccer has announced its 2026 schedule, marking the fourth season under head coach Lisa Mann. The announcement comes as the program prepares for a slate that blends early exhibition contests with a rigorous mix of non‑conference road trips and conference battles.
The campaign opens on August 5 with an away test at Jacksonville State, followed by a second exhibition match at South Alabama on August 8. Both games set the tone for a schedule that immediately tests the team’s depth.
The regular season kicks off on August 12 at Georgia State, then travels to Mississippi State on August 16. A subsequent road stretch includes a visit to Western Kentucky on August 20 and a homecoming clash with Ole Miss on August 23, underscoring the early emphasis on competitive opponents.
After a brief pause, the Blazers head to UCF on August 27 before returning to Birmingham to face Auburn on September 3. The early September stretch continues with non‑conference road games at ULM on September 6 and at Samford on September 10, providing additional opportunities to fine‑tune the lineup.
Conference play begins on September 17 at Temple, after which the team returns home to host Florida Atlantic on September 24 and then journeys to East Carolina on September 27. The schedule then shifts to a series of home-and‑away matchups against North Texas, Rice, and UTSA in early October, followed by contests at Rice on October 8 and UTSA on October 11.
October brings a pair of home games against Tulsa on October 22 and Charlotte on October 25, before the squad travels to South Florida on October 30. The regular season culminates with a home matchup against Memphis on November 3, wrapping up a demanding but promising campaign.
