The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is set to host the Built4It Celebrity Basketball Game on August 1, a community‑focused event that blends charity, sport and local pride. The game will pit Team Solo against Team Leak in a showcase that highlights the region’s rich basketball heritage.
A Game Built on Local Talent
Team Solo, coached by Solomon Bozeman, will feature former UAPB standouts Dequan Morris and Doctor Bradley alongside professional veterans such as Archie Goodwin and Rayjon Tucker. Across the court, Team Leak, led by Erica Leak, will field a roster that includes former Golden Lion players and NFL cornerback Dominique Rodgers‑Cromartie. Both squads are rounded out by additional Arkansas natives and professional athletes, creating a true home‑grown showdown.
The event also shines a light on emerging talent through a youth basketball showcase that will host teams like the Memphis War Eagles and the Arkansas Hawks. Families can enjoy a day of activities, giveaways and a special tribute to local first responders during halftime, where entertainment will be provided by AmeriAKA Superstar Academy.
Tickets for the Built4It Celebrity Basketball Game are available through the UAPB Athletics Ticket Office, giving fans the chance to support a cause that extends beyond the hardwood. The gathering promises to be a vibrant celebration of Arkansas basketball culture while raising funds and awareness for community initiatives.
