The University of California, Davis has unveiled its 2026 women's soccer schedule, a 19‑match campaign that promises a blend of non‑conference challenges and a full slate of Mountain West Conference battles. The announcement marks a milestone for a program that has steadily grown its footprint in the region.
Nine of those contests will be played on the familiar grass of Aggie Soccer Field, giving the team a chance to leverage its home‑field advantage against familiar rivals such as Grand Canyon, UNLV and Hawai'i, while also welcoming Pacific and Wyoming to Davis.
The first test of the Mountain West slate arrives on September 24, when the Aggies travel to Air Force for their inaugural conference matchup, kicking off a two‑game swing through Colorado that will test the squad's depth early in the league season.
A pair of road games against Saint Mary's and Santa Clara on August 20 and 27 will precede the conference opener, offering an early gauge of the team's chemistry before the first home test against Pacific on September 6.
Conference Play and Championship Aspirations
Coach Kat Mertz, now in her second year at the helm, will guide the Aggies through a demanding stretch that includes home matches against Wyoming on October 2 and a quartet of October contests at Aggie Soccer Field, featuring Grand Canyon, UNLV and Hawai'i. The momentum built during that stretch should carry the team into the Mountain West Championship, scheduled for November 11‑14 at Grand Canyon in Phoenix.
If the Aggies advance, the NCAA Tournament will begin on November 20, with the Women's College Cup semifinals and finals set for December 10 and 13 at First Horizon Stadium in Cary, North Carolina, where the team hopes to make a deep run.
