UC San Diego Athletics is set to bring the excitement of the upcoming 2026‑27 Triton Basketball season to fans across San Diego County, offering a unique opportunity for the community to connect with the team’s leadership before the programs transition to the West Coast Conference in 2027‑28.
A Coaches' Tour Across the County
Head coaches Clint Allard and Heidi VanDerveer will headline a series of live interviews, meet‑and‑greets and other fan‑focused activities that showcase the spirit of the Triton program and invite supporters to become part of the journey.
The first stop lands on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at Pitchers Sports Bar in Rancho Penasquitos, followed by a second event on Monday, Aug. 17 at PRK 101 in Carlsbad. Both sessions run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are free to attend with advance registration.
Attendees can look forward to spirit squad appearances, mascot visits, drink discounts and light appetizers, creating a festive atmosphere that celebrates the upcoming season and the community that fuels it.
The men's team capped last season with 23 victories, the second‑most in Division I history, while the women's squad captured the Big West Championship and earned an NCAA Tournament berth, underscoring the program’s upward trajectory.
As the Tritons gear up for their final year in the Big West before moving to the West Coast Conference, the road show serves as a bridge between the current roster and the enthusiastic fan base that has supported them throughout their rise.
Fans interested in attending can register online through the UC San Diego Athletics website, where additional details about future stops and special guest appearances will be posted.
