UC San Diego’s women’s basketball program has unveiled its 2026‑27 Big West Conference schedule, marking the start of a new era after the team captured the conference title last season with a 24‑9 overall record and a 17‑3 conference slate.
A Revamped Conference Landscape
The Big West has grown to twelve members, welcoming California Baptist, Sacramento State and Utah Valley while bidding farewell to Hawai'i and UC Davis. The Tritons will face each opponent twice in a 22‑game round‑robin format, a structure that promises a packed competitive calendar.
Key matchups are already highlighted on the calendar, with home games against Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State and UC Irvine slated for the early season. January will see the Tritons embark on a five‑game road stretch, testing their depth before they close the regular season with home contests versus Cal State Bakersfield and CSUN in March.
Player Movements and Roster Additions
Returning standouts such as Erin Condron, Lev Feiman, Dymonique Maxie and Rosa Smith will anchor the lineup, while seven new transfers — including Alexandra Cummins, Jite Gbemuotor and Coryn Watts — are expected to add depth and versatility. Coach Heidi VanDerveer will integrate the fresh talent as the team aims to repeat as champions.
