The University of Central Florida baseball program concluded the 2025 season with a 29‑26 overall record, a campaign that underscored the Knights’ potent offense and steady pitching.
UCF topped the Big 12 in batting average, on‑base percentage, ERA and WHIP, and its .319 team average placed sixth nationally. The pitching staff posted a 4.29 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP, ranking 19th and 16th respectively across the country.
The Knights notched wins over nationally ranked foes TCU and Florida, and five players were selected in the 2025 MLB Draft, including Antonio Jimenez, who went in the third round to the New York Mets.
Key returnees such as DeAmez Ross, Andrew Williamson and Braden Calise will lead the lineup, while fresh talent Austin Jacobs and JD Rogers join the mix. The 2025 recruiting class was lauded as the No. 12 class in the Perfect Game College Recruit Rankings.
The team will open the 2026 schedule on February 13 against Siena, a game that could set the tone for a season targeted at a return to the NCAA Tournament.
A Roster Built for a Return
With a blend of experienced stalwarts and promising newcomers, the Knights aim to translate their statistical dominance into postseason play. Coach Rich Wallace and the support staff have emphasized player development and depth as the program looks to sustain its upward trajectory.
