While the NCAA is expected to appeal the decision, the temporary relief does not override existing transfer rules, roster limits or revenue‑sharing agreements, leaving programs to navigate a complex landscape as they evaluate potential additions.
A Strategic Approach to Upgrading the Squad
Head coach Scott Frost said the team is exploring options to upgrade its roster but emphasized the need for the "right" players, a stance echoed by senior linebacker Lewis Carter, who expressed openness to welcoming newcomers who meet the program’s standards.
The Knights have already secured two high‑profile signings: English‑born linebacker Arthur Kingdom, previously with the Prague Lions, and 6‑foot‑11 offensive tackle Daniel Marcellinus, who transitioned from Campbell University’s basketball team.
Looking Beyond the 2025 Campaign
