The team capped a remarkable 2025 campaign by finishing fourth in the Big Ten, capturing the conference tournament title and securing a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight year. A Program Built on Winning
Among the standout performers, Sergi Solans Ormo earned Second‑Team All‑American honors, was named Most Outstanding Player at the Big Ten Tournament, and finished the season with 16 goals and six assists. His draft prospects looked bright after being selected in the MLS SuperDraft, joining teammates Tre Wright, Schinieder Mimy and Tarun Karumanchi, who were all chosen in the second round of the 2025 draft.
The offseason brought fresh faces to Westwood, with new transfers and a talented freshman class joining the roster, while veteran midfielder Jaime Amaro, who tallied 10 goals and seven assists at Bryant before transferring, earned a spot on the Mac Hermann Midfielders to Watch list for 2026. Assistant coaches Joey O’Keefe and Kary Whitney, both experienced mentors, were added to the staff, bringing additional depth to the program’s development.
Beyond the pitch, UCLA continues to shine academically, receiving a team academic award from United Soccer Coaches for the 2025‑26 season with a 3.36 collective GPA, marking the eighth consecutive year of qualification. The Bruins also sit second nationally in Instagram followers among men’s soccer programs, reflecting a growing fan base that looks forward to another exciting season.
