A Milestone for UConn Baseball
Rob Rispoli and Oliver Pudvar, both UConn baseball standouts, have been chosen to represent the university at the 2026 Cape Cod League All-Star Game, a showcase that highlights the program’s growing talent on a national stage.
The exhibition will take place on Saturday, July 18 at 6 p.m. at Whitehouse Field, the home of the Harwich Mariners, where the league’s top prospects will gather for a single night of high‑level play.
Rispoli, a native of Staten Island, New York, is currently leading the Cape Cod League in walks with 21 in 22 games while batting .254. He also adds 11 runs batted in, six stolen bases and 14 runs scored to his stat line.
Pudvar, from Shelburne, Vermont, tops the league in innings pitched with 24.0 and maintains a 4.88 ERA, having struck out 22 batters over that span. His durability and control have made him a cornerstone of the Chatham A's rotation.
Both players are spending the summer with the Chatham A's, a collegiate summer league team that has become a proving ground for many future professionals, and their selections reflect the competitive edge they bring to the club.
Their inclusion marks the first time UConn has had multiple All-Star selections in the same year since the 2018 and 2019 seasons, underscoring a resurgence in the program’s overall performance and development.
