Tickets on Sale for UConn Women's Basketball Open Practice

Fans who want to catch a sneak peek of the University of Connecticut’s women’s basketball team can purchase tickets for an open practice at Sacred Heart University’s William H. Pitt Center. The tickets, priced at $40 each, are sold through the UConn website and limit purchases to six per order.

The session is scheduled for September 20 at 2 p.m. and will showcase a series of drills, including shell work, a 4‑on‑4 defensive exercise, and a 5‑on‑5 scrimmage broken into three ten‑minute periods. It marks the second straight year the Huskies have opened their preseason to the public at the same venue, where more than 2,000 spectators attended the previous edition.

A Look Ahead at the Upcoming Season

After the practice, the Huskies will make their preseason debut against Syracuse on October 12 at the Mohegan Sun Arena. The regular season officially begins on November 2 with a home game against Cornell, and the nonconference slate also features matchups against Michigan, South Carolina and LSU.

Geno Auriemma’s coaching staff will oversee the team’s preparation, ensuring that the players are ready for a demanding schedule that promises competitive games against some of the nation’s top programs.
