A Promising Outlook for the Greyhounds
The University of Indianapolis men’s soccer program has been voted fifth in the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason coaches’ poll, a placement that reflects the team’s upward trajectory after a 2025 campaign that delivered eleven wins, an 8‑4‑2 conference record and a second‑round run in the NCAA Division II national tournament.
Head coach Gabe Hall, now in his fifth season, has built a foundation that blends experience with fresh talent. Six starters return from the previous year, and four players logged over a thousand minutes in 2025, providing continuity and chemistry heading into the new campaign.
Returning Strength and New Additions
Among the returnees, All‑Region forward Joey Longo stands out after starting all twenty matches last season and leading the squad in starts. His presence, combined with the return of key contributors, gives the Greyhounds a solid attacking core. At the same time, the roster welcomes several newcomers who are expected to add depth and versatility on both ends of the field.
Opening Battle with Cedarville
