A Redemption Campaign
The Knights' 2025 season ended in heartbreak as a penalty‑kick shootout slipped away the Division 4 state title against Leland, leaving a lingering sense of unfinished business that has fueled the offseason.
Returning midfielders Ollie Cooley, Landon Wysocki and Brady Ancona will anchor the team's engine room, bringing a blend of vision, work rate and experience that coaches hope will translate into tighter control and more scoring chances.
Depth across the field remains a hallmark of the program, with defenders such as Brendan Mitchell anchoring a disciplined back line, while goalkeepers Connor Sharp and Nathan Sliwinski provide reliable last‑line security. Up front, Brenden Logan and Liam Gady add pace and finishing threat to complement the midfield's creativity.
The schedule is packed with competitive fixtures, beginning with league matches against Grosse Ile and Hillsdale Academy in August, followed by a much‑anticipated rematch with Leland slated for the state championship on October 3, 2026. The season will close with a final showdown against Hamtramck at Keyworth Stadium on October 6.
Coach David Dwaihy stresses that the pursuit of a title is about more than a single game; it is about daily improvement, resilience under pressure and mastering the tactical principles of aggressive defending, ball pressing and possession in the opponent's half.
