River Hawks Unveil 2026 Schedule

The University of Massachusetts Lowell announced its complete 2026 field hockey slate, a 17‑game journey that kicks off on August 28 with a road test against Stanford. The opening stretch includes four consecutive away games before the team returns home for its first home opener on September 11 against New Haven.

The schedule features eight home contests, highlighted by a September 13 showdown with local rival Merrimack and a September 18 clash with Syracuse, the second Power Four opponent on the roster. A three‑game home stretch begins on September 20 with Stonehill, followed by matchups against Bryant, Providence and Vermont in early October.

Conference Play and the Road Ahead

America East Conference action begins on October 2 when Bryant visits Lowell, and the River Hawks will also host games against Vermont on October 9 and Sacred Heart on October 11. The team travels to New Hampshire on October 16 before celebrating Senior Day on October 18 against Dartmouth.

The regular season wraps up with back‑to‑back league games against Maine on October 23 and UAlbany on October 29. The America East Championship will follow in November, with tournament games slated for November 1, 3 and 6.

Athletic Director Shannon LeBlanc praised the non‑conference slate for its variety and the opportunity to test the team against a range of opponents before conference play. The full schedule reflects the program’s ambition to compete at the highest level while building on recent successes.
