The America East Conference released its 2026 preseason coaches' poll on Monday, placing the UMass Lowell field hockey team at third overall behind Vermont and UAlbany.
UMass Lowell earned 16 points in the voting, including two first‑place votes, while the top two schools each collected 21 points.
The River Hawks finished the previous season with an 8‑10 record, going 3‑2 within conference play, but the coaching staff believes the experience gained will translate into a stronger campaign.
