University of Minnesota Duluth’s women’s basketball program is set for a strategic boost as head coach Brooke Olson announced the addition of two experienced assistants to her staff. Bonnie Jensen and Brynn Olson will join the Bulldogs’ bench, bringing a mix of playing pedigree and coaching acumen.
Jensen arrives after a season as a graduate assistant at the University of Dubuque, where she helped develop three all‑conference post players and was part of the team’s two NCAA Tournament appearances. Her collegiate career at Ripon College spanned four years, during which she earned All‑Conference honors each season and contributed to the school’s rise into the national tournament picture.
Jensen’s coaching journey reflects a seamless transition from player to mentor.
Brynn Olson, a native of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, returns to the Duluth area after starring for the Bulldogs from 2022 to 2024. She was a key member of the 2023 NCAA Division II national runner‑up squad and earned NSIC Winter All‑Academic Team recognition for her performance on and off the court.
The appointments signal Olson’s intent to deepen the program’s talent pipeline while leveraging the expertise of seasoned mentors. With Jensen’s developmental focus and Olson’s recent championship experience, the Bulldogs look poised to build on recent successes and contend for future titles.
