Six current and former University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey players have been selected for national team rosters that will compete in the Women's Euro Tour in Switzerland this summer.
International rosters take shape
Ida Karlsson, a sophomore defenseman for the Bulldogs, will wear the Swedish jersey, adding veteran presence to a Swedish squad coached by Erika Holst.
Freshmen forwards Pauliina Salonen and defenseman Tuuli Tallinen will join the Finnish roster, marking the first appearances for the incoming class.
Lara Stalder, an All‑American who helped the Bulldogs to a national championship, is set to represent Switzerland, while former All‑WCHA selection Katerina Mrázová will don the colors of Czechia.
Thea Johansson, a recent Professional Women's Hockey League draftee, returns to the Swedish camp, and Nina Jobst‑Smith, a current Bulldog, is attending the German national team camp as part of the preparation.
On the North American side, four Bulldogs are slated to take part in a three‑game series between the Canadian and U.S. national teams, with senior goaltender Eve Gascon earning a spot on the Canadian Development Team, junior forward Caitlin Kraemer joining the Canadian squad, and junior forward Rae Mayer and incoming freshman Renee Lapointe slated for the U.S. Collegiate Women's Select Team and Canada’s U‑18 side respectively.
The Bulldogs will open the 2026‑27 season at home against Mercyhurst College on September 25 at AMSOIL Arena, a venue that will host the first of many anticipated matchups.
