The University of Maine at Fort Kent is set to host two intensive overnight soccer camps this summer, offering young athletes a chance to sharpen their game while experiencing college life.
Camp Dates and Location
The first session runs from June 28 through July 2, and the second from July 19‑23. Both camps will be held on the UMFK campus in Fort Kent, Maine, with participants staying in university residence halls and training on the Michael Simon Soccer Field.
Training Program
Campers will engage in a curriculum that emphasizes individual technique, ball mastery and team concepts. Instruction is delivered by UMFK’s coaching staff and current players, incorporating rondos, small‑sided games and full scrimmages to simulate real‑match scenarios.
Wellness and Education
Recovery is built into the schedule through daily yoga sessions, while strength and flexibility training helps athletes improve physical conditioning. Nutrition and hydration workshops round out the program, teaching participants how to fuel performance both on and off the field.
College‑Ready Session
Older campers, aged 14 and up, will attend a dedicated workshop on creating a college recruitment video and analyzing game film, giving them tools to market themselves to prospective programs.
The camps carry a fee of $595 per participant, which includes a $100 non‑refundable deposit. Registration is now open, and interested families can secure a spot through the university’s athletics website.
