UNC Greensboro’s men’s soccer program has released its 2026 schedule, marking the next chapter after a breakout 2025 campaign that culminated in an NCAA Tournament berth.
The 2025 season proved to be a turning point, delivering a 12‑5‑6 overall record, a 3‑2 mark in the Southern Conference, and a Top‑25 ranking in the United Coaches Poll while confronting the nation’s ninth‑toughest schedule.
A demanding non‑conference slate
Head Coach Chris Rich has curated an ambitious non‑conference lineup that includes exhibition matches against Campbell, Milligan and Virginia Tech, as well as contests versus programs from the Atlantic 10, Sun Belt, WCC, American, ACC and Big South.
The regular season opens with a three‑game homestand beginning against VCU on August 20, and will feature six conference fixtures — three at home and three on the road — before concluding on October 31 with a matchup versus ETSU.
The SoCon Tournament is slated to begin on November 3, with the championship game scheduled for November 13 or 14, providing a postseason platform that mirrors the team’s recent success.
With a blend of experienced returnees and fresh talent, the Spartans look to translate their historic 2025 achievements into another competitive season, aiming to extend their presence in the national conversation.
