The Coastal Athletic Association has released the bracket for its upcoming conference baseball championship, set to take place at Brooks Field.
UNCW enters the field as the sixth seed and will begin its campaign on Wednesday, joining a lineup that includes Campbell, Northeastern, Monmouth, the College of Charleston, and Hofstra.
The Seahawks stand out as the only program in the league to have qualified for all 40 of the conference’s championship tournaments, underscoring a longstanding tradition of participation.
Seeding and Preliminary Matchups
Campbell earned the top seed, while Northeastern, the North champion, secured a high seed as well. Monmouth finished second in the North and will be the third seed, and the College of Charleston placed second in the South to claim the fourth seed.
Hofstra earned a berth through its RPI ranking and will be the fifth seed, setting up a noon start against Charleston on Wednesday.
The matchup between the Seahawks and Monmouth is slated for 4 p.m., rounding out the opening day’s slate of games.
