A New Chapter
The University of New Hampshire has announced its 2026 Leadership Committee for the women's soccer program, a select group tasked with steering the team through a demanding schedule that begins on August 13 with a match against Stonehill College.
At the heart of the committee is captain Jules Vano, who earned the Barros Family Award for 2025–26 in recognition of his perseverance and excellence on and off the field. Vano also belongs to the National College Athlete Honor Society and has been named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll three times.
Forward Madison Donati brings a record of academic consistency, having appeared on the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll each season since joining UNH. Her steady performance reflects the blend of scholarly dedication and athletic commitment that the program values.
Freshman Abby Beasley has already made a splash, earning a spot on the America East All‑Rookie Team in 2025 and capturing the Rookie of the Week honor. She also received the Most Outstanding Freshman Award and was placed on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, underscoring her immediate impact.
Head coach Steve Welham highlighted the unique skill set and core values each member contributes, noting that the committee’s blend of leadership, resilience and talent positions the team for continued success in the America East championship picture.
