The Union College baseball program has once again been honored with the American Baseball Coaches Association’s Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2026 season, marking the eleventh straight year the team has earned the distinction. To qualify, the team maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 throughout the academic year, underscoring the program’s commitment to scholarly achievement.
District Recognition
On the competitive side, Union posted a 17‑20 record and secured second place in the Liberty League East Division, showing steady progress despite a challenging schedule.
Off the field, the team tied a program record by placing fifteen players on the Liberty League All‑Academic Team, a testament to the depth of academic talent within the squad.
Among those honorees, seniors Andrew Keaveney and Caleb Miller and junior Jacob Skarlis were also selected to the 2026 Academic All‑District Baseball Team, highlighting their combined athletic and scholarly excellence.
