The decisive blow came in the bottom of the seventh, when a clutch single turned a tied game into a victory, igniting celebrations among players, coaches and a town that has rallied around the team all season.

The 2026 Bosshardt Realty Small School All‑Area team, selected by a panel of coaches and journalists, recognized the season’s most impactful players across the rural divisions.
Jeffrey Brugh, a senior outfielder for Union County, led the honorees with a .385 batting average, 37 hits and 26 RBIs, earning the distinction of Florida Dairy Farmers Rural Player of the Year.
Trenton’s Mason VunCannon, a junior pitcher, posted a 5‑1 record and a 1.79 ERA while batting .383 with 23 hits and 14 RBIs, underscoring his two‑way impact.
Junior infielder Brant Bivens contributed a .367 average, 36 hits and 29 runs, while also delivering a 7‑2 record and a 3.39 ERA on the mound, illustrating his versatility.
Sophomore catcher Zane McArdle batted .403 with 31 hits and 28 RBIs and threw out 13 of 22 would‑be basestealers, a defensive statistic that helped shape the team’s strategy.
First‑baseman Pierson Weatherilt paced the Tigers with a .404 average, 38 hits and 34 RBIs, and added a 5‑2 record with a 2.41 ERA, while Carson Long of Saint Francis Catholic Academy combined a .523 batting line with a 7‑2 record and a 2.94 ERA.
