2026 Schedule Unveiled
The University of Hartford women's soccer program announced its 2026 schedule on Thursday, confirming a 17‑game regular season that includes eight home contests at Al‑Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium. The announcement comes as the Hawks enter their third year as back‑to‑back Conference of New England (CNE) champions, a streak that has already propelled them to two straight NCAA Tournament appearances.
Opening Night at Alumni Stadium
The season kicks off on September 6 at 3:00 p.m. with a home matchup against Emmanuel College. The 2025 GNAC champions finished the year with a strong record and earned an NCAA berth, making the early test a valuable gauge for Hartford’s ambitions.
Early Non‑Conference Challenges
Following the opener, the Hawks travel to face Stevens Institute of Technology and Montclair State University in the first week of September. Both opponents contributed to a combined 25‑5‑12 record for the Ducks and Red Hawks in 2025, underscoring the competitiveness of the non‑league slate.
A Six‑Conference Gauntlet
Non‑conference play will pit Hartford against teams from six different conferences — MAC, NJAC, GNAC, NEWMAC, LEC and NESCAC — many of which posted winning records last season. This diverse schedule is designed to sharpen the squad before conference play begins.
Conference Play Begins September 12
CNE competition opens on September 12 at 4:00 p.m. when the Hawks host Gordon College. The home conference slate features four of the top five seeds from the 2025 tournament, including a September 19 showdown with University of New England to launch the league schedule.
Overall, Hartford will contest ten league games, aiming to capture a third straight CNE title and secure a second consecutive NCAA Tournament berth. The last time the program achieved back‑to‑back tournament appearances was in 2001 and 2002, a milestone the current roster hopes to replicate.
