University of New Mexico Men's Hockey Unveils 2026‑27 Schedule
The University of New Mexico’s club men’s hockey team has released its full slate for the 2026‑27 season, laying out a schedule that blends early‑season road trips with a handful of home‑court showcases.
The campaign kicks off on September 4 with an away game at Colorado in Boulder, setting the tone for a series of matches that will see the team travel across the western United States before returning to the McDermott Athletic Center for its home opener.
Fans can mark their calendars for the home opener against Colorado State on September 18‑19, a two‑day series that promises intense competition and a chance for the team to build momentum in front of its home crowd.
Tournament Highlights
Later in the fall, the squad will head to Salt Lake City to compete in the Beehive Classic tournament from November 20‑22, facing off against a mix of regional opponents in a high‑energy environment.
The schedule also includes a December series at Northern Arizona University, where the team will revisit a former conference rival, and a January showdown with Grand Canyon University that will double as Senior Night, honoring the graduating class.
Adding to the excitement, the Nuclear Shootout will take place in Los Alamos from January 29‑31, offering a unique venue and a chance to test the team against some of the nation’s top club programs.
