The University of South Dakota has formally released the promotional calendar for the 2026 football season, outlining a series of six home contests at the DakotaDome that will each spotlight a unique community theme.
A Calendar of Celebration
Fans can mark their calendars for the matchups on August 29, September 12, October 3, October 10, October 24 and November 14, dates that will punctuate the autumn schedule with a blend of tradition and novelty.
Each game will be anchored by a dedicated promotional focus, including an Ag Appreciation Day that honors the region’s agricultural roots, a Native American Heritage Game that celebrates the cultural legacy of the area, and a Youth Day designed to engage younger supporters.
Beyond the gridiron, the themes are intended to foster deeper connections between the university, local organizations and the broader South Dakota community, turning each contest into a platform for outreach and education.
University officials emphasized that the schedule reflects a commitment to showcasing the state’s diverse interests while delivering an entertaining experience for students, alumni and visitors alike.
The promotional rollout will be supported by a series of on‑campus activations, social‑media campaigns and partnerships with local businesses, ensuring that the excitement builds throughout the lead‑up to each kickoff.
