UNLV Women’s Basketball Announces Tough 2026‑27 Non‑Conference Slate

Coach Lindy La Rocque aims to test the Lady Rebels against elite opponents before conference play

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas women's basketball program has unveiled its 2026‑27 non‑conference schedule, a 13‑game lineup that pits the Lady Rebels against some of the nation's most respected programs across eight different conferences.

Opening the season with a showcase

The campaign kicks off on November 2 with a Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase game at T‑Mobile Arena against the University of Southern California, a matchup that promises a high‑profile start to the year.

Following an exhibition against Cal State Los Angeles on October 27, the team will host a seven‑game November homestand featuring contests with UTSA, Arizona State, Montana State, Rice, and Cincinnati, culminating in the Turkey Tip‑Off tournament.

East Coast road trip and late‑season home games

In December the Lady Rebels travel to face UConn in Storrs and then Boston, before returning to Reno for home games against UC Santa Barbara on December 13, Washington State on December 16, and Vanguard on December 20 to close out the non‑conference slate.

Coach Lindy La Rocque, now in her seventh season at the helm, described the schedule as one of the toughest yet, emphasizing that the rigorous early slate is designed to sharpen the team for the grind of conference play.

The full slate not only tests the squad against elite competition but also provides a platform for building chemistry and confidence heading into the Western Athletic Conference schedule.
