Unrivaled Women’s Basketball League Doubles Valuation to $650 Million in Oversubscribed Funding Round

Investors including Ten Pillar Sports Fund and UC Investments back a $100 million Series C that fuels player equity and a new media partnership with TNT

Unrivaled, the upstart 3‑on‑3 women’s basketball league, announced that it has closed a Series C round that values the company at $650 million, effectively doubling the valuation it held just a year earlier.

Funding that Signals Confidence

The infusion of more than $100 million was led by Ten Pillar Sports Fund, which also counts UC Investments among its backers. The round was oversubscribed, underscoring investor appetite for a league that promises both entertainment and a novel economic model for its athletes.

A distinctive feature of Unrivaled is its player equity pool, now valued at nearly $200 million — a 550 % increase since the league’s launch in 2024. Co‑founder Breanna Stewart emphasized that athletes now hold a tangible stake in the league’s growth, stating, “Players have a real stake in the league’s value creation.”

Alex Bazzell, president of Unrivaled, noted that the latest capital raise exceeds the total of all previous funding combined, a testament to the confidence investors place in the league’s roadmap.

Operating from a 1,000‑seat arena in Miami, Unrivaled will stage eight tour stops in 2027, kicking off the season in early January. The league has already sold out events in New York and Philadelphia, and it has secured a six‑year media partnership with TNT to broadcast its games.

The expansion plan includes additional stops across the country, aiming to broaden the fanbase while navigating a crowded sports calendar that last season was affected by the Milan Cortina Olympics and the College Football Playoff.

With a valuation that rivals many traditional sports franchises and a growing portfolio of corporate partners, Unrivaled is positioning itself as a catalyst for the next wave of women’s professional basketball.
