A Talent‑Rich Region
US Youth Soccer has announced the 2026‑27 Olympic Development Program Interregional rosters for the Girls East Region, gathering the most promising players born from 2009 through 2014. The squads will contest interregional tournaments that serve as a proving ground for potential inclusion on the ODP National Teams.
Scouts and regional evaluators will attend these events, using performance data to shape the next wave of national prospects. The competition also offers a platform for players to showcase their abilities in front of college coaches and talent spotters.
Coaching staffs are anchored by experienced collegiate mentors. Eric Teepe, who leads the 2009 cohort and is affiliated with Fairleigh Dickinson University, guides a group that includes Massachusetts native Eliza Lockwood. Rick Stainton, head coach for the 2010 age group and a UMBC staff member, oversees talent from Virginia, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Frederick King, attached to the University of Pennsylvania, directs the 2011 squad, while Athena Gramates, based at Charlotte Soccer Academy, shapes the 2013 older cohort. Their leadership reflects a blend of academic insight and club‑level expertise.
Pathways to the National Stage
Interregional matches provide a critical checkpoint for players aspiring to earn a place on the ODP National Teams. Success in these settings can translate into scholarships, collegiate recruitment and, ultimately, representation at the highest youth level.
