USA Baseball Announces 15U National Team Training Camp
The organization has unveiled a 32‑player roster for the 2026 15U National Team Training Camp Phase 2, a crucial stepping stone toward a World Championship‑caliber squad. The camp, scheduled for September 16‑18 at the National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, will determine the final 20 athletes who will represent the United States at the WBSC U‑15 Baseball World Cup in Mérida, Mexico.
At the helm of the effort are managers Casey Scott and Drew Briese, supported by a seasoned coaching staff that includes RJ Farrell, Larry Vucan, Rob Shabansky and Derek Simmons. Their combined experience spans multiple international tournaments and development programs.
Nine athletes on the roster bring prior national‑team experience, among them eight who were part of the 2023 World Cup‑winning 12U team. Notable names include Tyler Early, a 2023 Richard W. Dick Case Award winner, and Clayton Ratliff, a right‑handed pitcher who led the 2024 12U team to gold in Panama.
The group also features Chris Worrell Jr., the youngest participant, who previously competed in the 2024 Athlete Development Program, and sixteen players who have gone through the USA Baseball 13U/14U ADP. Four athletes have also seen action in MLB’s Hank Aaron Invitational and other development events.
To foster competition, the roster will be divided into two squads — Stars and Stripes — who will engage in scrimmages and on‑field workouts. This format is designed to sharpen skills and evaluate depth ahead of the international tournament.
The ultimate goal is clear: a cohesive, experienced team ready to contend for the WBSC U‑15 Baseball World Cup title from September 25 to October 4 in Mexico. The training camp serves as the final proving ground before the world stage.
