USA Basketball has unveiled a 35‑player roster for the 2026 Men’s U18 National Team training camp, a preseason crucible that will take place in Colorado Springs, Colorado, beginning on May 21. The camp serves as the gateway to the FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup in Leon, Mexico, where the final 12‑player roster will be trimmed before international competition.
A talent‑rich field
The participants span the graduating classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028, representing a deep pool of emerging talent. Twelve of the campers will earn a place on the official Team USA squad that will travel to Mexico, while the rest will use the experience to sharpen their skills under a seasoned coaching staff.
Spotlight on Indiana’s Chase Branham
Among the invitees is Indiana University commit Chase Branham, a 6‑foot‑5 guard who recently led Logan‑Rogersville High School to a Missouri Class 4A state championship. As a junior he averaged 21.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game, shooting 41 percent from three‑point range. Branham also earned a spot in the 2026 USA Men’s Junior National Team April minicamp in Indianapolis, giving him early exposure to the national program.
Coaching leadership
The camp will be directed by head coach Anthony Grant, with assistants Matt Langel and Nate Oats providing additional guidance. Court coaches Dennis Gates, Greg Kampe, Dusty May and Ritchie McKay will oversee daily drills and skill development, ensuring that each player receives personalized attention as they vie for the limited spots on the final roster.
Road to the AmeriCup
After the May 21 camp, the coaching staff will whittle the field down to a 12‑player lineup that will board a flight to Leon, Mexico, for the FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup. The selection process underscores USA Basketball’s commitment to developing the next generation of talent while giving prospects a clear pathway from high school stardom to international competition.
