USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program announced this week that three new forwards will be added to the roster of the 2026‑27 U.S. National Under‑18 Team, completing a lineup that will make its debut in preseason competition and charity events.
Gerry DiCunzolo, a Buffalo native, arrives with a reputation for relentless forechecking and sharp playmaking that has distinguished him in the junior ranks.
Jackson Hendricks, from Wayzata, Minnesota, brings a blend of size, skating speed and puck‑protection skill that makes him a formidable presence in the offensive zone.
Griffin Storey, a Waseca, Minnesota product, combines physicality with quick transitions, offering the coaching staff a versatile forward option.
A notable voice in the selection process
Rod Braceful, director of player personnel for the NTDP, emphasized that each prospect brings a unique set of strengths that align with the program’s development philosophy.
The team’s previous announcements had already introduced Charlie Mineman, Jake Prunty and Nash Roed, completing a core group that will be joined by the new additions.
The first preseason appearance is scheduled for September 11 against the Muskegon Lumberjacks, followed by the annual “Play with Purpose” Charity Hockey Game on September 12.
The opening regular‑season matchup will take place on October 3 versus the Boston College Eagles, marking the start of a schedule that also includes the Kroger College Series and the Big Game Pack.
Ticket packages for the NTDP season are now available, giving fans the opportunity to attend the charity event and the early‑season games.
