USA Hockey has revealed the 23‑player roster that will represent the United States at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, the premier under‑18 men’s ice‑hockey tournament scheduled for Aug. 3‑8 in Edmonton, Alberta.
The squad is composed of 13 forwards, seven defensemen and three goaltenders, a balance that reflects the depth of talent the organization has cultivated over the past two years.
Fifteen of those athletes previously suited up for the 2025 U.S. Under‑17 Men’s Select Team, giving the new roster a strong foundation of championship experience.
Aiming for a Repeat
Team USA finished the 2025 edition with a 3‑1‑0‑1 record and captured the title by defeating Sweden in the final. The coaching staff believes that the blend of seasoned veterans and emerging stars positions the team to repeat that success.
The tournament schedule includes preliminary games against Czechia, Finland and Germany, followed by a pre‑tournament exhibition against Slovakia on Aug. 1. The players will arrive in Edmonton ready to test themselves against top international competition.
