USA Network is set to re-enter the college sports arena with a sweeping five-year agreement that will bring Pac-12 football and basketball to its primetime lineup.
A New Era for Pac-12 Broadcasts
The deal guarantees 22 football contests and more than 50 men’s basketball games each season, with most broadcasts slated for early evening slots at 6 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The first doubleheader will air on September 5, featuring Wyoming versus Colorado State and Portland State versus San Diego State.
Nate Gatter will lead the play-by-play for both sports, while former Washington State quarterback Ryan Leaf will add color commentary. Lauren Green will report from the sidelines, and veteran voice Ted Robinson, formerly the face of the Pac-12 Network, joins the USA team.
Dalen Cuff and Darius Walker will serve as the second-tier play-by-play and color analysts, respectively, and in weeks with a third game, Guy Haberman, Alex Brink and Kate Harrison will fill the extra slots.
USA’s WNBA coverage will be produced out of NBC Sports studios, though the precise location for Pac-12 studio production remains unspecified.
