On June 1, the University of Southern California gathered its Trojan Football staff for the fourth iteration of the Dave Nichol Health Screening, a ceremony that blends remembrance with preventive care.
The screening commemorates Dave Nichol, the program’s former inside receivers coach, who died of cancer in March 2022 at the age of 45, leaving behind a legacy of dedication on and off the field.
Head coach Lincoln Riley, who launched the annual examination in Nichol’s honor, stressed that regular medical check‑ups are essential for catching hidden health concerns before they become critical.
