A New Era for Trojan Basketball
The 2025‑26 campaign ended in disappointment for the USC Trojans, a season that left fans yearning for a turnaround. Despite the setback, the program is already looking ahead, with coach Andy Musselman preparing a refreshed squad for the upcoming 2026‑27 year.
Musselman, now in his third season at USC, has assembled what he describes as the most talented roster of his tenure. The lineup blends proven veterans such as Rodney Rice, KJ Lewis, Jacob Cofie and Jalen Cox with rising sophomores Alijah Arenas and Eric Reibe, while also welcoming highly touted freshmen Christian Collins, Adonis Ratliff and Darius Ratliff.
Summer practices have already begun, giving the new pieces a chance to gel before the season officially tips off in early November. Conference play is slated to start in December, and the full schedule is expected to be released in the coming months, a detail that will outline the road ahead for the Trojans.
High Hopes and Challenges Ahead
Expectations are high, but the path is not without obstacles. The team must integrate fresh talent, maintain chemistry, and navigate a competitive Pac‑12 landscape. Yet the optimism surrounding the roster’s depth and experience suggests that USC could be poised for a significant rebound.
