A loaded roster
USC enters the 2026 campaign with a recruiting class that tops the national rankings and a roster that returns 17 starters, a combination that has the program buzzing heading into the offseason. The transfer portal class sits at No. 45 in the On3/Rivals composite, underscoring the strategic moves made to fill gaps.
Among the newcomers, wide receiver Terrell Anderson brings a blend of size, speed, and experience that could reshape the Trojans' passing attack. The 6‑3, 188‑pound playmaker was a top‑100 recruit out of high school and a top‑20 receiver, and his breakout sophomore season at NC State saw him haul in 39 receptions for 629 yards and five touchdowns.
Defensive reinforcement
On the opposite side of the ball, edge rusher Zuriah Fisher arrives from Penn State with a proven track record of pressure. The 6‑3, 258‑pound defender was ranked No. 9 by 247Sports and No. 20 by On3/Rivals, and his recent production includes 17 total tackles, 3.5 sacks and a fumble recovery in 2023, followed by 19 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in 2024.
Veteran presence will also be provided by Braylen Shelby, the only other senior in the defensive group with notable statistics, while the coaching staff led by Lincoln Riley continues to shape the team's identity. Additional contributors such as Jayden Maiava, Kameryn Crawford and Luke Wafle add depth to a unit that aims to compete at the highest level.
