The USC Bloom Football Performance Center, a $225 million, 163,000‑square‑foot complex, opened its doors in August 2026, blending the university’s storied football tradition with cutting‑edge innovation and marking a new chapter for Trojan football.
Designed by head coach Lincoln Riley, who first sketched the concept on a napkin during a flight to Los Angeles in 2021, the building replaces the aging John McKay Center and resolves years of facility shortcomings.
The lobby showcases eleven national championships, eight Heisman Trophy recipients and memorabilia such as Frank Gifford’s jacket, instantly linking visitors to the program’s storied past.
On the first floor, an athletic medicine suite, a fueling station, and a weight room equipped with custom Nike Strength racks and Perch tracking technology greet players, while direct access to two practice fields enables seamless transitions between training and recovery.
The second level houses a team room, twelve meeting rooms, a 45‑foot video wall, and a suite of recovery amenities that include float beds, infrared therapy and AI‑powered massage chairs.
A third‑floor terrace offers coaches’ offices and panoramic views of the practice fields, the Hollywood Sign, and downtown Los Angeles, where players can unwind with foosball, pool and ping‑pong tables.
Three dedicated creative studios provide space for player branding and storytelling, reflecting USC’s commitment to leveraging the NIL era for holistic athlete development.
During game days the open layout invites the public to view trophy displays and Hall of Fame exhibits, reinforcing the Trojans’ legacy while generating excitement for the program’s future.
