A Summer Preview at War Memorial
The University of San Francisco Athletics has scheduled its first ever Dons Basketball Summer Showcase for August 6, opening its doors exclusively to season ticket holders.
Fans will gather at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center when doors open at 11:00 a.m., with the women's practice slated for 11:00 a.m. to noon and the men's practice following from noon to 1:00 p.m.
The day will showcase drills from both the men's and women's squads, followed by a "Meet and Greet" where attendees can interact with players, coaches and staff from each team.
The showcase introduces a wave of fresh talent, highlighting 13 newcomers on the men's roster, among them Aidan Braccia and Ndewedo Newbury, and eight new faces on the women's side, including Candy Edokpaigbe and Aina Cargol.
Local Bay Area prospects Andrew Hillman and Jaroslavs Pihtovs are also slated to begin their collegiate careers, adding to the excitement surrounding the program.
Newly appointed Director of Athletics Brent Blaylock is expected to be on site, underscoring the leadership involvement in the event.
